]]>Just like the first two films in the franchise, the third installment will delve into the world of the illusionists and center on the member of the thieving quartet the Four Horsemen. They’re coming back for another heist in Now You See Me 3, but they’ll be joined by a new generation of magicians, who have a few tricks up their sleeve.
Ariana Greenblatt (Barbie) was the first star added to the show’s young cast, and she’ll have great support from Dominic Sessa, the breakout star of last year’s The Holdovers, and Justice Smith, who most recently starred in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
Now You See Me 3 will also feature several familiar faces, with Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Mark Ruffalo, and Morgan Freeman expected to return in their respective roles.
Now You See Me produced two films which came out in 2013 and 2016 and grossed nearly $700 million worldwide despite mixed critical reception.

]]>Warner Bros’s new take on the Dr. Seuss classic hails from writers and directors Alessandro Carloni and Erica Rivinoja and sees The Cat taking on his toughest assignment yet. When a pair of siblings struggles with their move to a new town, it’s up to the titular hero to cheer them up.
Hader (Barry) will voice The Cat, and he’ll be in pretty good company! He’ll be joined by Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Bowen Yang (Saturday Night Live), Xochitl Gomez (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), Matt Berry (What We Do in The Shadows) and Paula Pell (Girls5eva) in supporting voice roles.
Susan Brandt, the President and CEO of Dr. Seuss Enterprises, is excited to see such an exceptional group of talent join the effort to bring this iconic character to the big screen.
“It’s been an amazing experience collaborating with the team from Warner Bros. Pictures Animation so far, as they truly understand what it takes to capture the magic of The Cat in the Hat and share his brand of imagination and joy with a new generation of Dr. Seuss fans,” said Brandt in a statement.
Cat in the Hat will be released by Warner Bros. on March 6, 2026.

]]>Phoenix and Aster realized they were a match made in heaven while working on Beau Is Afraid and decided to join forces again. The Oscar winner will play one of the lead roles in Eddington, and he’ll be joined by several more A-list stars.
The two-time Oscar winner Emma Stone (Poor Things), Oscar nominee Austin Butler (Dune: Part Two), and Emmy nominee Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us) will also star in this project, alongside supporting players Luke Grimes (Yellowstone), Deirdre O’Connell (Outer Range), Micheal Ward (Top Boy), and Clifton Collins Jr. (Jockey).
Aster will continue his successful partnership with A24, and Eddington marks his fourth collaboration with the studio, following Hereditary, Midsommar, and Beau Is Afraid. He’ll write, direct, and produce this project through his Square Peg banner.
Aster previously described Eddington as “a revisionist Western” and “a film noir ensemble Western dark comedy”. It will center on a small-town New Mexico sheriff with higher aspirations, according to Variety.

]]>Alcock will play the Woman of Steel after crushing her audition and defeating the likes of Emilia Jones and Meg Donnelly to win this role. James Gunn confirmed her casting on social media and said he’s incredibly excited about her being a part of the DCU after being blown away by her audition and screen tests.
Gunn previously discussed the new version of this character during DC’s presentation in early 2023 and described her as a very different type of Supergirl.
“We see the difference between Superman […} versus Supergirl, who was raised on a rock chip-off of Krypton and watched everyone around her die and be killed in terrible ways for the first 14 years of her life, and then came to Earth when she was a young girl,” said Gunn at the time.
It remains unknown if Alcock will make her debut in Superman: Legacy alongside David Corenswet, but she’s expected to appear in another DC-based project before leading her standalone feature Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.

]]>Warner Bros. waited for the SAG-AFTRA strike to end before casting the film’s main villain, and Hoult emerged as the front-runner for the role. The Emmy-nominated actor will have big shoes to fill because this iconic character had previously been portrayed by the likes of Gene Hackman, Kevin Spacey, and Jesse Eisenberg.
Hoult received award recognition for his role in the historical satire The Great, which was shockingly canceled by Hulu earlier this year. He’s also attached to Robert Eggers’s Nosferatu, Justin Kurzel’s The Order, Clint Eastwood’s Juror No. 2, and The Garfield Movie.
David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan have been cast as Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane in Superman: Legacy. earlier this year, and they’ll be joined by Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, and María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer.
Superman: Legacy is expected to hit the theaters on July 11, 2025, and James Gunn recently said that the labor disputes in Hollywood won’t impact its release date.

As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam’s take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men,” said Cavill in a statement.
Liam Hemsworth echoed his words, describing Cavill as “an incredible Geralt” and thanked him for allowing him to take up the White Wolf’s blades for the next chapter of his adventure. He’s best known for starring in the Hunger Games franchise, but we’ve recently seen him on Netflix’s own Isn’t It Romantic.
Cavill’s exit is quite a shocker for The Witcher fan, but it wasn’t that difficult to predict since it comes shortly after he announced his return as Superman in the DCU. We’ll still get to see him play Geralt of Rivia in Season 3, set to premiere on Netflix next year.

Jolie, whose recent credits include Marvel’s Eternals and action thriller Those Who Wish Me Dead, is just as excited to celebrate Callas’ legacy through this project.
“I take very seriously the responsibility to Maria’s life and legacy. I will give all I can to meet the challenge. Pablo Larraín is a director I have long admired. To be allowed the chance to tell more of Maria’s story with him, and with a script by Steven Knight, is a dream,” said Jolie.

Lawrence added he’s thrilled that Dinklage will be bringing this character to life, and Lionsgate president Nathan Kahane echoed his words. He described him as one of the best actors alive and said he’ll bring formidable, charismatic authority to the important role of the dean of the Academy.
Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes takes place many years before the events of the original franchise, and it centers on the 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow, as he tries to restore his family’s pride while mentoring Lucy Gray Baird, the girl tribute from impoverished District 12.
Tom Blyth and Rachel Zegler will play lead roles, while the rest of the cast includes Jason Schwartzman, Hunter Schafer, Josh Andrés Rivera, Ashley Liao, Sofia Sanchez, and more. The film’s premiere date is set for November 17, 2023.

Seydoux became an international sensation after playing the Bond girl Madeleine Swann in Spectre and No Time to Die. She’s a household name in France, where she won Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival and received several nominations for the prestigious César Award. We’ll soon get to see her in David Cronenberg’s Crimes of the Future and Mia Hansen Love’s One Fine Morning, both set to come out later this year.
Dune: Part 2 will see Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, and Josh Brolin return to their respective roles from the first film, while the new cast includes Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, and Austin Butler. The release date of this project is yet to be announced, but it’s eyeing a 2023 release

Tom Blyth is set to replace Sutherland in the role of the young Snow, and Zegler is joining him as Lucy Gray Baird. She’s a tribute from impoverished District 12, who managed to impress all of Capitol with her singing at the reaping ceremony and is set to be mentored by Snow.
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is only the latest on the long list of projects that Zegler is working on right now. Following the success of her Golden Globe-nominated role in West Side Story, she’s set to appear in Shazam! Fury of the Gods and play the titular role in Disney’s live-action adaptation of the animated classic Snow White.
