Multiple outlets report that Mark Wahlberg is in talks to replace Chris Evans in Infinite

Evans, who signed on to the Paramount feature back in February, is no longer part of the production due to scheduling issues.

The big screen adaptation of D. Eric Maikranz’s 2009 novel The Reincarnationist Papers is helmed by Antoine Fuqua from a script by Ian Shorr.

Infinite centers on a secret society of people who possess total recall of their past lives. They then come across a troubled young man haunted by memories of two past lives, who is their only way of defeating an evil mastermind.

Should Wahlberg board the project, he will star as the schizophrenic man-turned-savior.

Production is slated to begin this fall for an August 2020 release.
