The brothers behind Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame are delving into another universe.
Joe and Anthony Russo will be producing an animated version of Magic: The Gathering.
The fantasy card game was first created in 1993 and is played by more than 20 million people worldwide, but this is the first time that it will be produced for screen.
“We have been huge fans and players of Magic: The Gathering for as long as it has been around, so being able to help bring these stories to life through animation is a true passion project for us,” the Russos said.
The pair will oversee the television project, which is Netflix bound, and will include all the features associated with the game, including wizards, monsters, “Plainswalkers”, and more.
