The first image from the set of Morbius has been revealed.
Morbius is a spooky Spider-Man spin-off set to be released in 2020. Jared Leto stars as the mad scientist Dr. Michael Morbius who takes science too far and transforms himself into a vampire.
The eerie photo gives us a small glimpse of Jared Leto looking dark and mysterious stood behind a clapperboard. You can check it out here:
A teaser synopsis of the movie reads: “horror action story of a scientist who, in trying to find a cure for a rare blood disease, accidentally transformed himself into a living vampire who, though disgusted by his own bloodlust, chooses to prey upon criminals he deems unworthy of life.”
Jared Leto recently starred as the love-struck Joker in Suicide Squad so he is more than familiar with playing the role of the anti-villain. Not many details have been released about Morbius yet but we do know that former Doctor Who star Matt Smith will be joining Leto on set.
The current release date for Morbius is July 31, 2020.
