Sigourney Weaver has answered the call.

The Ghostbusters franchise is adding another title and the 69-year-old actress is returning for the ride.

Weaver starred in the original Ghostbusters film and its sequel in 1984 and 1989 respectively, as client Dana Barrett whose New York City apartment had some spooky stuff going on.

Ivan Reitman’s son, Jason, is taking over the franchise from his father and bringing us another Ghostbusters film, three decades after the last.

Weaver has confirmed that she is on board, with the Avatar actress saying that “It’s going to be crazy working with the guys again!”

It’s hoped that Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, and Ernie Hudson will also decide to reprise their roles in the film, which is due out on July 14th, 2020.

At a Fan Fest over the weekend, Reitman said, “Dan has read it… Ernie’s read the script… Bill Murray has read the script.”

The Up in the Air director is expected to begin production on the threequel this month in Canada.
