Ryan Reynolds is in talks to star and produce a live-action feature adaptation of the arcade game Dragon’s Lair for Netflix.

Dragon’s Lair was originally released for arcades in 1983. It features Dirk the Daring, a knight who sets out to rescue Princess Daphne from the evil dragon Singe and a wizard named Mordroc.

Daniel and Kevin Hageman (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and The Croods 2) are penning the screenplay. The project will be produced by Roy Lee via his Vertigo Entertainment banner, with Trevor Engelson of Underground, Don Bluth, Gary Goldman, and Jon Pomeroy.

Reynolds is best known for starring in the Deadpool movies.
