Ryan Gosling is set to star in another astronaut movie.
Multiple outlets report that the actor will produce and star in Project Hail Mary. The film will adapt a story from The Martian author Andy Weir. It is also reported that MGM is in exclusive talks for the film’s rights and that the studio has offered a seven-figure number to seal the deal.
The upcoming novel, set to be published next spring by Random House, is centered on a solitary astronaut on a space ship who is trying to save Earth.
Gosling is best known for his Oscar-nominated roles in Half Nelson and La La Land.
