Disney found box office success with several live-action remakes of their animated classics, and they’re sticking to the winning formula. Snow White will hit the theaters next March, and the first teaser sees Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot going head to head.
This live-action adaptation of Disney’s 1937 animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, puts a new twist on the classic tale of a young princess who finds her chosen family in a group of the Seven Dwarfs living in the woods after being exiled from her home by her evil stepmother.
Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot lead the cast of this live-action remake, and they presented the first teaser trailer at Disney’s D23 Expo this past weekend. Zegler got to show off her singing abilities in the teaser and put her twist on the original song “Whistle While You Work”.
Andrew Burnap as Jonathan, Ansu Kabia as the Huntsman, Dujonna Gift as Maple, Martin Klebba as Grumpy, and Colin Michael Carmichael are also a part of the show’s supporting cast. Disney made a controversial choice to use CGI to bring the Seven Dwarfs to life, and they’re yet to cast the majority of voice actors in these roles.
Snow White will hit the theaters on March 21, 2025, after facing several major delays.
