Quentin Tarantino’s films have always been a little “out there,” but his upcoming project seems unusual even for him.

The Once Upon Time in Hollywood director has just debuted his 9th film at Cannes ahead of its July release, but he is already planning his next production.

According to Collider, Tarantino is making a crossover film using his classic Django Unchained and… Zorro.

The filmmaker previously penned a comic book that takes place years after the movie, in which bounty hunter Django once again embarks on the road, taking up odd jobs, and comes across Zorro. The unlikely pair then team up to free indigenous people from slavery.

Jerrod Carmichael has been tapped to write the screenplay for Django/Zorro, and it is possible Tarantino may direct it. If he does take on direction duties, this would be Tarantino’s 10th film — which he has often stated will be his last.
