Katherine Langford will be making her Netflix return in 2020 in the service’s re-imagining of Cursed.
The 13 Reasons Why alum (who won’t be returning to the Netflix series for season three), is set to star as Nimue in the coming-of-age series from co-creators Tom Wheeler and Frank Miller.
Cursed is based on Tom Wheeler’s forthcoming illustrated young adult novel of the same name.
According to the official description, the project “is a re-imagining of the Arthurian legend, told through the eyes of Nimue, a teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake.
“After her mother’s death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a young mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword.
“Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins, and their complicit King Uther.”
Netflix dropped the first look image of Langford in its “epic re-imagination” Sunday. The post also confirmed that the show will make its debut on the streaming giant in 2020.
