Netflix Cancels “The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell”

Christine H. McConnell in "The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell"

There will be no second season for The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the streaming giant has decided to pull the plug on the morbidly creative crafting show. Despite the cancelation, the series is currently still available to stream on the platform.

The show was produced by Netflix, Wilshire Studios and The Henson Alternative. It was created by and starred McConnell, an artist, and baker who lives in a mansion full of monsters and ghosts. McConnell, in the company of Rose the raccoon and Rankle the mummified Egyptian cat, created morbid looking desserts.

McConnell took to Twitter Tuesday to share her feelings about the cancellation, writing, “I’m very sad to say, I’ve been told there won’t be another season of The Curious Creations. Thank you to everyone who watched and has supported the series. Thank you to Henson, Wilshire, Netflix and the amazing people who made the show with me. I’m so grateful.”
