The Oscar-winning actor joins the cast of Apple’s Slow Horses.
Gary Oldman is set to star in the forthcoming espionage drama series based on Mick Herron’s book series.
According to Variety, the show follows a team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 – Slough House. Oldman will star as Jackson Lamb, the brilliant, but irascible leader of the spies who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes.
Slow Horses hails from Veep writer Will Smith who will pen and executive produce the series.
Oldman’s TV roles are far and few between. One of those roles was in an Emmy-nominated guest-starring role on Friends.
