Disney are bringing us a remake of Dumbo and Tim Burton is directing.
The remake will be a live-action movie, in the same vein as 2016’s The Jungle Book and last year’s Beauty and The Beast.
The movie will be directed by Tim Burton, the acclaimed director who was behind the likes of Nightmare before Christmas, Corpse Bride, the 1989 Batman, and the gory musical Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
The new Dumbo will star big names including: Collin Farrell, Danny DeVito, Michael Keeton and Eva Green.
The official synopsis of the movie reads:
“Disney’s new live-action feature film Dumbo introduces Holt Farrier (Farrell), a former circus star who finds his life turned upside down when he returns from the war. Circus owner Max Medici (DeVito) enlists Holt to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughing stock in an already struggling circus. But when Holt’s children discover that Dumbo can fly, persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Keaton) and an aerial artist named Colette Marchant (Green) swoop in to make the peculiar pachyderm a star.”
