Ruby Rose’s departure from The CW’s Batwoman took the world by storm, but her character Kate Kane won’t be completely erased from this series. Wallis Day is set to replace Rose in the current second season of this hit superhero show.

Kate Kane’s whereabouts were a mystery for the fans of the show since Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie) took over the mental and became the new Batwoman. After a lot of anticipation, it’s finally been revealed that Kane is alive, but she looks unrecognizable after the crash that left her with serious injuries.

Day will play the altered version of the character, and she announced the exciting news in one of her recent Instagram posts. The British actress said it’s a huge responsibility to step into the shoes of a character that’s already been established, but added she’s looking forward to the journey.

Day is no stranger to the DC Universe since she previously starred in SyFy’s superhero series Krypton. She’s also known for the roles in the British shows Hollyoaks and The Royals, and she’s soon set to appear in Antoine Fuqua’s next film Infinite.
