The Hollywood Reporter has just shared the news that a Grease prequel is in the works and everybody is losing their minds.
According to the entertainment website, Paramount Players are working on a prequel to everyone’s favorite ’70s movie and it will be titled, Summer Loving. John August, the writer behind iconic titles including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Big Fish has been hired to write the screenplay.
The Hollywood Reporter also said that Temple Hill will be producing and Picturestart will also be involved. The movie will tell the story of what went down before Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson cross paths.
We have so many questions about the Grease prequel that we’re probably going to need a whole new article to share them. Will the film use any songs from the original soundtrack? Who will fill the shoes of John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John? Being a cult classic, such decisions will not be made lightly.
