The new official trailer for Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife has dropped.
The trailer officially reveals that the upcoming film is a direct continuation of the franchise that began 35 years ago with connections the film has with the 1984 original and its 1989 sequel.
The film follows Carrie Coon, who plays Callie, and her two small kids Phoebe (Mckenna Grace) and Trevor (Finn Wolfhard), who inherit a farm in Oklahoma. The family farm belonged to Egon Spangler, played by the late Harold Ramis in the original two films.
And while a ghost has not been seen in the past three decades, once the family moves in and find Spengler’s old Ghostbusting equipment followed by a green light appearing from a shaft in the earth and something otherworldly launching itself from the pit, it’s clear the Ghostbusters are back in action.
