Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhaal are such good mates that it actually made filming Spider-Man: Far From Home even more difficult.

In the Marvel flick, Holland stars as the titular superhero while Gyllenhaal takes on the role of the infamous Marvel villain, Mysterio. The trouble is, the pair of actors got on so well that it actually slowed things down on set.

The director of the feature Jon Watts explained that the pair were always making each other laugh. He told Entertainment Weekly: “Sometimes they would crack each other up, and we could not get through takes occasionally.”

Holland then explained that he had a bro-crush on Gyllenhaal before they even met on set.

“If you look at any interview I’ve ever done prior to this movie and someone asked me, ‘Who would you work with if you could work with any actor?’ I would’ve said Jake Gyllenhaal,” Holland confessed.

“And when I found out it was him, I was stoked, but also really nervous. But Jake absolutely was more than I ever could have expected.”

Spider-Man: Far From Home is out in movie theaters July 2.
