After wrapping up his role as Carl Grimes in AMC’s hit series The Walking Dead, Chandler Riggs took some time off to focus on other things besides acting. But it now looks like Riggs is ready to get back to television, as it was revealed that he would join the cast of ABC’s drama A Million Little Things.

According to TV Line, Chandler Riggs signed on to appear in at least two episodes and will portray the role of PJ, a young man whom Rome (Romany Malco) meets. The magazine describes PJ as a character who had “some dark days” and whose encounter with Rome will be “meaningful to both of them in ways each of them doesn’t even fully realize at the time.”

Riggs himself confirmed the news on Twitter, sharing his excitement about the opportunity.

“SUPER excited to announce that i’ll be joining @AMillionABC for a couple of episodes (and maybe more??)! the cast & crew is so incredible, and i absolutely love the series. i encourage everyone to check it out this thursday night on abc!!” – he wrote.

A Million Little Things revolves around a group of friends who suffers a shocking experience after one member of the group commits suicide. The series premiered in September 2018 to strong ratings while receiving positive reviews from the critics.

Chandler Riggs gained prominence in 2010 after he was cast as Carl Grimes in The Walking Dead. He was part of the series for eight seasons and earned several accolades for his performance, including a Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor in a Television Series in 2014. His other acting efforts include a guest appearance in animated series Robot Chicken, as well as roles in movies Keep Watching and Inherit the Viper.
