Expect for The Conners to be on your TV at least for one more year. According to Deadline, ABC has given this Roseanne spinoff a season two order. While the episode count has not yet been announced, the second season is rumored to be 13-episodes long, which is slightly above season one’s 11 episodes.

The news about The Conners renewal comes shortly after the series’ core cast members John Goodman (Dan Conner), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie Harris), Sara Gilbert (Darlene Conner) and Lecy Goranson (Becky Conner-Healy) agreed to new deals with the network.

“We are proud to be continuing the story of the iconic Conners family,” – said ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke. “This team is fearless in their willingness to tackle contemporary issues with humor and heart, and I have no doubt they will continue to outdo themselves.”

After Roseanne revival was canceled in May 2018 due to racist comments by series’ star Roseanne Barr, ABC decided to create a new series with the remainder of the sitcom’s cast. The Conners officially premiered in October 2018, and while it didn’t manage to replicate the success of its parent series, the sitcom was still a success for the network. Besides being received well by the critics, it was also a solid audience draw, managing to average 9.5 million through season one.
