“I’m still really into this idea of an all-female Avengers movie. Getting all the women together and getting them to work as a team would be so powerful and iconic… To see women work together, and in that way as a team, is not something we’ve seen enough of on screen,” said Brie Larson.
Captain Marvel was the first stand-alone Avengers movie with a female superhero at the front and center. It premiered on March 8 and went on to become the first female-led superhero movie to cross the $1 billion mark worldwide.

Before wrapping things up, the reporter also dropped in the fact that Ruffalo has already been in a movie with Brie Larson. The Hulk actor was shocked and needed a photographic reminder of the role she played in 13 Going on 30.
“She was one of the mean girls!” he gasped. His wife then commented that it kind of looks like her to which Ruffalo replied: “It looks a lot like her. It is her!”

]]>One question on fans minds, however, is why in Captain Marvel Larson wore practically no makeup while in the Avengers: Endgame trailer, she is wearing significantly more. In fact, some people found her almost unrecognizable in the trailer compared to her image in her debut standalone feature.
Now, co-director Joe Russo has revealed in a talk with io9, the reason behind this decision. As it turns out, it wasn’t the Russo Brothers’ decision at all.
“We empower them to have control over their characters because they need to be comfortable playing those characters,” Joe Russo explained. “This was Brie’s first time playing the character ever. First day on set as the character ever. And those are the choices that she and her make-up team made.”
“I think as it approached the [solo Captain Marvel film, when] she started to think more about the character, she made other creative choices. But everyone should be given the right to have the freedom to make whatever creative choices they want to make. And those are the ones that she made that day with us.”
Avengers: Endgame will be released in cinemas April 24.

Alongside the announcement they posted the first picture of Larson in costume on the film set.
The movie is highly anticipated for a number of reasons. Firstly, it will be Marvel’s first female-led superhero blockbuster. DC’s 2017 Wonder Woman was a great success, grossing $819 million in the box office worldwide. We’re keen to see if Captain Marvel will match DC’s Wonder Woman‘s popularity.
Captain Marvel is super strong, flies and has the ability to absorb and project energy. We think she will be a popular hit for Marvel movie fans.
The feature will be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and will star Brie Larson as Captain Marvel. It will bring together many characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Samuel L Jackson who will co-star as Nick Fury.
The release date was originally announced as July 6th this year, but the project was pushed back after Spider-Man was reintroduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The current scheduled release date is March 8th 2019.
