Chris Evans had to drop out of upcoming drama “The Devil All The Time” due to scheduling conflicts, but Netflix immediately found a perfect replacement – his Marvel co-star Sebastian Stan.

This intriguing thriller is based on Donald Ray Pollock’s novel of the same name. It follows a set of compelling and bizarre characters surviving hardships in a small town in Ohio after the end of World War II. Sebastian Stan will play the role of corrupt sheriff Lee Bodecker.

This casting change received a lot of media buzz thanks to both actors’ involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Stan and Evans met on the set of Captain America: The First Avenger and went on to star in a series of MCU movies, playing the roles of Captain America and his best buddy Bucky Barnes.

Comic books see Barnes taking over Captain America mantle, and fans believe the same thing could happen on the big screen. The Devil All The Time will show them what it’s like to see Stan stepping into Evans’ shoes once it starts streaming on Netflix in 2020.
