Universal is working on another monster universe film just months after the success of Elisabeth Moss’ Invisible Man. The studio is attached to the remake of 2010’s Werewolf with Ryan Gosling set to star.

The script is based on an original pitch by Gosling and is penned by Orange Is The New Black’s Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo. There’s no director attached to the film yet.

The 2010 Wolfman by Universal starred Benicio del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt, and Hugo Weaving. The film follows Lawrence Talbot, who is bitten by a werewolf and afflicted by an ancient curse when he’s trying to return home.

Although it’s unknown what this remake will look like, it’s believed to have a supernatural twist and to take place in the present times with a similar feel to Jake Gyllenhaal’s Nightcrawler.

Universal is working on a number of upcoming monster films including Elizabeth Banks’ Invisible Woman, Paul Feig’s Dark Army, Dexter Fletcher’s Renfield, and Karyn Kusama’s Dracula.
