Richard Flood has joined the cast of Grey’s Anatomy.
The hit ABC medical drama has added the Shameless star to its call sheet as Grey Sloan Memorial’s new head of Pediatric Surgery.
As you may or may not know, at the end of season 15’s finale, Dr. Alex Karev (Justin Chamber) was fired by Bailey (alongside Meredith Grey and Richard Webber). Since then he’s moved to a new hospital with Dr. Webber, where he serves as the Chief of Surgery.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Flood is set to recur on season 16 of ABC’s hit medical drama as Dr. Cormac Hayes at Grey Sloan Memorial.
Grey’s Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
