Rachel Bilson is returning to Fox.
The O.C. alumna has joined the dramedy pilot tentatively titled Lovestruck. Bilson is set to play the female lead, aka the bride in the wedding night series. Bilson’s bride is described as a “bolt of pure sunshine,” sweet and thoughtful yet assertive.
She joins the previously announced Andie MacDowell and Richard Roxburgh, who will play her parents as well as Kathleen Turner, Madeline Wise, and Usman Ally.
According to Deadline, the entire first season takes place over the course of a single night at a wedding. As viewers get to know the wedding party, they’ll “learn surprising reveals about both their present and past. We’ll see that things aren’t always what they seem and explore the complicated bonds of love, friendship, and family at different stages of life.”
Best known for her role as Summer Roberts on Fox’s The O.C, she also starred as the lead on The CW’s Hart of Dixie.
