Kelsey Grammar in Proven Innocent

It’s case closed for Fox’s Proven Innocent.

There will be no second season for the legal drama, as it joins The Cool Kids, Lethal Weaponand The Passage, all of which got the ax Friday from Fox.

News of the cancelation came less than 24 hours after it aired its Season One finale but to no surprise. Proven Innocent was Fox’s lowest-rated show for the 2018-19 season, averaging just over 2 million viewers per episode.

The series followed a legal team who worked at a wrongful conviction firm. It starred Rachelle Lefevre as team leader Madeline Scott, Kelsey Grammar as Gore Bellows, the prosecutor who previously put Madeline away for murder, as well as Vincent Kartheiser, Russell Hornsby, Riley Smith, Clare O’Connor, Francis Guinan, Persia White, Shanesia Davis, Karin Anglin, Caitlin Mehner, Nikki M. James, Meg Thalken, and Grace Fahey.

Proven Innocent hailed from Danny Strong and Stacy Greenberg.
