It’s been about a month since Peacock shared their latest hit show Girls5Eva with the world, and it seems that this series hit all the right notes. Only a few weeks after its premiere, the streaming service renewed this musical comedy for another season.

Girls5Eva follows the adventures of members of a one-hit-wonder girl group from the 90s, as they try to make a comeback thanks to the sudden rise in popularity of one of their old songs. Sara Bareilles, Busy Philipps, Paula Pell, and Renée Elise Goldsberry play the lead roles in the series.

The renewal of this show has been announced by Lisa Katz, the president of scripted content for NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, who said they’re looking forward to following this group’s journey as they continue to hit just the right notes. “We are so excited to continue Girls5eva alongside this incredibly talented group of cast and producers. It was hard to miss the immediate fandom that was born after the launch of this series,” explained Katz in a statement.

Girls5Eva premiered on Peacock on May 6th, and it currently holds an approval rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
