The American Gods star is returning to a reoccurring role on television in L.A.’s Finest.

Starring opposite Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba, L.A.’s Finest is Jones’ first reoccurring role since he played trickster God, Anansi, in American Gods.

According to Deadline, “Jones will play Marshawn Davis, a veteran of the LAPD’s Internal Affairs Division who is brought in to question Syd Burnett (Union) after an investigation turns deadly. Equal parts integrity and determination, Davis quickly suspects Syd and the truth have a complicated relationship which puts her squarely in his crosshairs.”

The second season will be about Syd Burnett (Union) and Nancy McKenna (Jessica Alba) depending on each other both personally and professionally as they fight against someone trying to cause chaos on the streets of Los Angeles.

Jones will also be starring in Dark Forces, Lexicon’s upcoming horror movie and co-starring on Showtime’s limited series The Good Lord Bird.
