Even though we do not know when the release date will be, we do know that the sixth season of Orange is the New Black will be released in the near future.
Season five followed the Litchfield gang as they got caught up in a three-day riot with terrifying consequences.
The season ended with some of the main characters such as Alex,Piper, and Nicky, hiding out in Frieda’s bunker that just had been broken up by the CERT officers while the other inmates were loaded onto buses on the way to prisons.
In season six, we will find out what happened. Unlike in season four, none of the main inmates died during season five. Unlike season five, Netflix has closely guarded the secrets surrounding season six.
We know that ten inmates will be back and they are the ones left in the converted bunker and are namely: Frieda (Dale Soules), Suzanne (Uzo Aduba), Cindy (Adrienne C Moore), Taystee (Danielle Brooks), Red (Kate Mulgrew), Piper (Taylor Schilling), Alex (Laura Prepon), Nicky, Gloria (Selenis Leyva) and Blanca (Laura Gomez).
