Night School is coming to television.
The 2018 film starring Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish is being adapted for television with multiple outlets reporting that NBC has handed out a pilot order to a series adaptation.
The comedy saw Hart star as a high school dropout who returns to school to obtain his GED with the help of an unorthodox teacher, played by Haddish. The series centers on a mix of adults at a night school GED prep class who unexpectedly bond over their shared experience and find themselves helping each other both inside and outside of the classroom.
Hart will executive produce the pilot along with Will Packer and the film’s director Malcolm D. Lee.
