Although the series hasn’t premiered yet, Comedy Central has already renewed Awkwafina is Nora From Queens.

The scripted series, which premiers January 22, is inspired by Awkwafina’s (Crazy Rich Asians and The Farewell) life growing up in Queens, NY. Nora Lin (Awkwafina) and her cousin (Bowen Yang) are raised by her father (BD Wong) and Grandma (Lori Tan Chinn).

The Co-Heads of Original Content Sarah Babineau and Jonas Larsen couldn’t be more thrilled about working with Awkwafina on a second season, “We are in awe of Awkwafina’s creative genius on every level and we could not be more excited to embark on a season two with the entire Lin family in Awkwafina is Nora From Queens,” they said.

In other news, just last week, Awkwafina was the first Asian-American actress to win a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy for her role in Farewell.
