Nicole Kidman to Star in the “Pretty Things” Adaptation

Amazon’s television adaptation of Pretty Things will star Nicole Kidman, 

Variety was first to report that the Oscar-winning actress will star as one of the leads in the series based Janelle Brown’s novel of the same name. 

In Pretty Things, “Two wildly different women—one a grifter, the other an heiress—are brought together by the scam of a lifetime,” with Kidman set to play one of the women. 

Adapting the novel to series is Brown herself, who will also executive producer. Attached to direct the series is the Handmaid’s Tale helmer Reed Morano. 

Amazon won the rights to the novel following a highly competitive race with multiple bidders.
