The latest upcoming Avengers movie Infinity War is expected to take the box office by storm.
Infinity War features almost all superheroes from across the franchise, including: Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther, Chris Pratt’s Star Lord, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, Scarlett Johanson’s Black Widow, Chris Evans’ Captain America and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk.
Joe and Anthony Russo wrote and directed the film. The Avengers will face their greatest battle yet as they go up against Thanos, who is planning to collect all the infinity stones in order to wipe out half of the universe.
The blockbuster is on track to open with a $200 million premiere on April 27. If it does meet expectations, it will go down in history with the five other films that have topped $200 million in the first three days. Marvel’s Black Panther and the first Avengers movie made this list alongside Jurassic World, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The most recent Marvel movie, Black Panther, broke box office records when it earned $1.3 billion globally. It expected that Avengers: Infinity War will follow in this box-office smashing trend.
