Netflix are developing a live-action movie which will be based on the video game series Carmen Sandiego.

The series, which was last seen in 2015 with Carmen Sandiego Returns, puts players working for the ACME Detective Agency, and they are required to locate the elusive criminal mastermind Carmen Sandiego.

Players are required to track her across the world and may even have to travel across space and time.

According to a report by Deadline, the Carmen Sandiego movie is still in its early stages and no director or writer has been attached to the project.

The animation series will explore the origin of Carmen. In addition to exploring how she is a big-name criminal in the world today, it will also explore how exactly she became a criminal in the first place.

Carmen is set to be voiced by Gina Rodriguez who is also set to voice the character in an animated series, which is set to debut in 2019.
