Marvel have confirmed a popular Ant-Man fan theory.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige has confirmed a fan theory regarding the Wasp to be true. At the end of the movie, Scott shrinks down to ant size in order to sabotage Yellow Jacket’s suit. In the blink of an eye, Wasp’s silhouette appears.

Feige has confirmed that what we saw is the original Wasp Janet Van Dyne, played by Michelle Pfeiffer.

“In the first film it was, we got a glimpse of it for people who like to go through frame-by-frame, there was a little silhouette of Janet as the Wasp in there, which is a big story element in this movie,” he told ScreenRant.

Other news also seems to suggest that Ant-Man and the Wasp could be a stepping stone in the way of The Young Avengers.

“Well, sure… so where and when we would see the evolution of that, I don’t know,” Feige said in response to the idea.

“And certainly – taking our cue from the comics as we always do – that’s why we wanted Cassie, a very young Cassie in this movie, to be inspired by her father. Just planting seeds.”
