If you’ve watched any of Game of Thrones then you will know that Maisie Williams, who portrays the courageous Arya Stark in the show, is one hell of an actress. Her performances have had us jumping for joy and on the edge of tears but never before has she stunned an audience into silence as quickly as she did on Monday night (April 1).
In the spirit of April Fools day, Maisie and Jimmy Fallon set up an epic spoiler prank on The Tonight Show which has since gone viral. After claiming that her producers would literally “kill” her if she let anything slip, Maisie reveals that her character dies in episode two of the final season.
Jimmy points out that she has let slip a spoiler and Maisie’s reaction is priceless. Her hands are shaking, her eyes are tearing and she looks utterly in shock about what she has just done. To be honest, the Game of Thronesstar deserves an Oscar for her performance.
The audience are stunned into silence and awkwardly laugh as Jimmy tries to rectify the situation. Maisie runs off stage in bits only to jump out with Jimmy moments later and reveal that the whole setup was one big prank.
