Morfydd Clark has been cast in Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings series.
The upcoming TV adaptation of the acclaimed franchise has found its young Galadriel, the character famously portrayed by Cate Blanchett in Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films.
Set in Middle Earth, the series will explore new storylines preceding J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Ring.
The His Dark Materials star joins previously announced Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, and Maxim Baldry.
The series hails from writing duo JD Payne and Patrick McKay. Lindsey Weber, Bruce Richmond, Gene Kelly, and Sharon Tal Yguado serve as executive producers. The series is produced by Amazon Studios in cooperation with the Tolkien Estate and Trust.
