Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Hamilton” Drops First Trailer For Disney+

Hamilton‘s set to launch on Disney+ on July 3 and the platform just released a minute-long trailer featuring footage from Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Broadway musical.

The clip shows the original cast which includes Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr., Daveed Diggs, Phillipa Soo, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Christopher Jackson, Anthony Ramos, Jonathon Groff, Okieriete Onaodowan, and Jasmine Cephas Jones performing to the opening number “Alexander Hamilton” as well as “Satisfied.”

The rap-inspired musical about founding father Alexander Hamilton’s life was supposed to be released in theaters on October 15, 2021, but last month, Disney moved up the release date.

Hamilton premiered on Broadway in 2015 and won 11 Tony Awards, including the best musical and a Pulitzer Prize for drama. Disney paid $75 million for the rights to the musical.
