Deadline confirms that Sex and City star Kim Cattrall has been tapped to appear in the forthcoming British comedy The Cockfields.

Cattrall will star opposite Joe Wilkinson and Diane Morgan, both of whom appeared in Ricky Gervais’ acclaimed Netflix series After Life.

The series also features Sue Johnston, Bobby Ball, Nigel Havers.

The comedy about a family on the Isle of Wight follows Simon (Wilkinson), who is taking his girlfriend Donna (Morgan) back home for the very first time.

According to Deadline, there they’ll spend a long weekend as guests of his doting mother Sue (Johnston), and controlling stepdad Ray (Ball). Simon’s father (Havers) and his new American girlfriend Melissa (Cattrall), will cause tensions to rise.

Wilkinson penned the series with David Earl.

“David and I adore writing about this oddball family who, despite their faults and differences, love each other. We can’t wait to see our dream cast bring The Cockfields to life,” he said.
