Kim Cattrall has joined the cast of the upcoming CBS All Access Show Tell Me A Story.

This will be the first time that Cattrall takes part in an American TV production since the HBO show Sex and the City ended.

The show explores some of the world’s most bizarre fairy tales and depicts them as twisted psychological thrillers.

The first season of the production will re-work “The Three Little Pigs,” “Little Red Riding Hood” and “Hansel and Gretel” into tales that focus on greed, murder, revenge and loss.

Cattrall will play Colleen, who is a nontraditional grandmother. In the series, her son moves back home and brings along a troubled teenage girl named Kayla, who has to protect her family against threats.

Tell Me A Story is a product of Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital. The executive producer of the show is Kevin Williamson who received support from Kaplan, Dana Honor and Liz Friedlander.
