John Cena has joined the forthcoming installment of the Fast & Furious franchise.
The casting, which was teased by franchise star Vin Diesel back in April, is now official.
It is still unclear what role Cena will play. However, with the news that Dwayne Johnson, aka the Rock, is not set to return for F&F 9, it’s fair to assume that Cena will in some way take over from the former professional wrestler.
In his original post Diesel only said to expect “a badass.”
The feature will be directed by four-time F&F helmer Justin Lin. Dan Casey is writing the screenplay. Production is slated to begin next month for a May 22nd, 2020 release.
