It’s been over two decades since Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson starred in 1997 horror “Anaconda”, and their second collaboration will be nothing like the first. They’re set to play unlikely couple in upcoming rom-com Marry Me, which will give you major ‘90s vibes.
This surreal project centers on a pop star getting ready for a very public wedding at the Madison Square Garden, only to find out her fiancé has been cheating on her the whole time. Instead of calling the wedding off, she decides to tie the knot with a random audience member, holding a “Marry Me” sign.
According to the official synopsis, this gimmick eventually turns into an “exploration of relationships, expectations and destiny.” The script is based on the graphic novel by Bobby Crosby, and Kat Coiro will be in charge of bringing it to the big screen.
It’s still too early to say when we can expect this rom-com in the theaters, but it probably won’t start filming before Jennifer Lopez wraps up her latest movie Hustlers, also starring Constance Wu and Cardi B.
