HBO Max Orders Julia Child Series to Pilot

HBO Max has put in a pilot order for its Julia Child inspired series. 

Julia will explore the life of Child and her show The French Chef. The one-hour show hails from director and executive producer Charles McDougall. Daniel Goldfarb will serve as the writer and executive producer on the pilot, with Chris Keyser set to executive produce and serve as showrunner.

Set to portray the renowned chef and author is British actress Sarah Lancashire. The cast also includes 

Tom Hollander as Paul Child, Brittany Bradford, Fran Kranz, Fiona Glascottas, Bebe Neuwirth as Avis, Julia’s best friend; Isabella Rossellini in the guest star role of Simca, Julia’s co-author, and Jefferson Mays.
