Former U.S President Barack Obama is reported to be in talks with Netflix over producing a series of shows that will provide him with a platform following his departure from the White House in January 2017.
Under the proposed deal, Obama and his former first lady Michelle Obama will create exclusive content which would only be available on Netflix. The number of shows which will be made has yet to be decided.
It has further been reported that Obama will not use the show as a means to make known his views towards current U.S President Donald Trump with whom he differs with on a lot of issues or conservative critics.
Rather it has been reported that the Obama’s intention is to create shows that will highlight inspirational stories. The Netflix deal will give the Obamas an unfiltered method of communication with the public, similar to the audiences which they already reach through social media.
