Elizabeth Olsen Reveals How Marvel Ensured No Spoilers for “Avengers: Infinity War”

Elizabeth Olsen, aka Scarlet Witch, has revealed the extreme lengths that MCU went to in order to ensure there were no spoilers forĀ Avengers: Infinity War.

Olsen told Paul Bettany at ACE Comic Con that none of the cast knew how the film was going to end right up until their death scenes. No one knew if their character was going to survive or whether they would be in part two.

ā€œI found out from the Russos exactly what was going to happen, and it wasnā€™t until we shot it on that day we learned what the ending was,ā€ Olsen revealed.

ā€œThey took us into a van ā€“ all of us ā€“ we were in a van with air conditioning because it was very hot, and they told us how the movie was going to end and no one knew.

“And they were like, ā€˜Now weā€™re shooting it, go!ā€™ and we were like, ā€˜How are we supposed to interpret that?'”

On top of not knowing the fate of their characters, the cast were not allowed to take a copy of the script home. Apparently, they had to read the script in a room with no windows and were required to leave their phones at the door.

ā€œWe couldnā€™t take our time at home or anything like that ā€“ they wouldnā€™t give us a hard copy,ā€ Olsen said.

ā€œI just got my pages and even my pages had a fake ending and multiple fake things in it.ā€
