Robin Hood is set to take on Prince John’s excessive taxation once more.

It’s official — Disney is working on a Robin Hood remake for its streamer Disney+. The remake of its 1973 animated film will be made using hybrid CGI — live-action technology similar to the remakes of The Jungle Book and Dumbo

Blindspotting helmer Carlos Lopez Estrada is set to direct from a script penned by Kari Granlund, who also penned the 2019 Lady and the Tramp reboot. Granlund and Estrada are both under deals at the studio, deals that were signed early last month.

The original animated musical comedy earned $32 million at the box office on a $5 million budget.
