David Yost, aka the original Blue Ranger Billy Cranston, is writing a reunion movie.

Power Rangers launched in 1993, and it has returned in several different forms since then. Most recently, the series returned as a movie in cinemas last year.

Hasbro are now in charge of the franchise and fans are hoping to see the return of the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers cast in the next TV series.

David Yost has said that he is not only up for returning, but that he has in fact been working on writing a reunion movie. He said to ComicBook.com:

“I meet fans from all over the world and time and time again, all I hear is we want to see a reunion of the original cast. We want to see where the original six – unfortunately only five of us are alive – we want to see where they are at.”

“I’ve never understood why this wasn’t in the plan, or why the people that own the franchise just never really wanted to try that out… So I would love to be able to give that to our fans.”

He then added: “Hopefully, Hasbro will have a conversation with us… I read that they felt like the franchise has been undervalued and they have thoughts of bringing more films to life, so we will see if that happens.”
