CBS Picks Up “Tommy” Starring Edie Falco

A new Edie Falco-led drama is coming thanks to CBS.

Multiple outlets confirm that the network has picked up the cop drama titled Tommy for the 2019-2020 season. The Sopranos alum will star as the first female chief of police of Los Angeles.

The series hails from Homicide creator Paul Attanasio, Amblin Television and CBS TV Studios.

Here is the official logline: “When a former high-ranking NYPD officer becomes the first female chief of police for Los Angeles, she uses her unflinching honesty and hardball tactics to navigate the social, political, and national security issues that converge with enforcing the law.”

Tommy will also star Michael Chernus, Adelaide Clemens, David Fierro, Russell G. Jones, Olivia Lucy Phillip, and Joseph Lyle Taylor.
