]]>The first teaser for Deadpool & Wolverine hit the shelves during the Super Bowl and made history as the most-watched trailer in the first 24 hours with 365 million global views. This new full trailer gives us a clearer look at this summer blockbuster, and it sees the titular heroes finally reuniting on the big screen.
This is the first Deadpool film in the MCU, and the new trailer is sprinkled with many Marvel references. It sees Wade Wilson joining forces with Wolverine to save the MCU, after being pulled from his timeline by the mysterious organization Time Variance Authority.
In addition to Reynolds, several Deadpool stars will reprise their roles in this film, including Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Brianna Hildebrand. They’ll be joined by Jackman, Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, and Jennifer Garner.
After being hit with several delays, Deadpool & Wolverine is officially coming to the theatres on July 26.

The first trailer features musical elements, including a rendition of “What the World Needs Now (Is Love Sweet Love)”, which sees Joker and Harley Quinn dreaming about elegantly dancing to its beat by each other’s side. Variety previously reported this sequel would feature 15 haunting reinterpretations of beloved songs.
In addition to Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga in the lead roles, the star-studded cast of this project will also include Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, Steve Coogan, Ken Leung, and Harry Lawtey.

]]>Following the death of King Viserys at the end of the show’s first season, the surviving members of his family quickly jumped at each other’s throats, while trying to justify their claim for the Iron Throne.
King Viserys’ wife Queen Alicent Hightower conspired to have her son crowned as the next king, starting the war with the late king’s first-born daughter Rhaenyra Targaryen, who was his heir apparent. The battle between these two factions will lead to what’s known as the Dance of the Dragons, the deadly war of succession that resulted in the Targaryens’ fall from grace.
Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, and Rhys Ifans will return to their respective roles from the show’s first season. They’ll be joined by several new cast members, including Gayle Rankin, Simon Russell Beale, Freddie Fox, and Abubakar Salim.
House of the Dragon will return to HBO in mid-2024, and its release date is yet to be set.

They’re trying to escape a cyberattack that grows more terrifying by the minute, forcing everyone to come to terms with their places in a collapsing world. The film’s supporting cast also includes Farrah Mackenzie, Charlie Evans, and Kevin Bacon.
This psychological thriller was written and directed by Sam Esmail, and it’s based on Rumaan Alam’s book of the same name. Esmail serves as one of the film’s producers alongside Roberts, who previously starred in his Amazon show Homecoming.
Leave the World Behind will open this year’s AFI Fest on October 25, and we won’t have to wait too long to see it in theatres. It’s getting a limited theatrical release on November 22, and it will become available on Netflix from December 8.

Maestro will chronicle “a towering and fearless love story” of the infamous couple, and Netflix describes it as “a love letter to life and art” and “an emotionally epic portrayal of family and love.”
The supporting cast of Maestro includes Matt Bomer, Maya Hawke, Sarah Silverman, Josh Hamilton, Scott Ellis, Gideon Glick, Sam Nivola, Alexa Swinton, and Miriam Shor. In addition to playing the lead role, Cooper also directed the film and co-wrote the script alongside the Oscar winner Josh Singer.
Maestro will have its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival on September 2, before heading to theatres on November 22 and streaming on Netflix on December 20.

The next season of Loki will feature a blend of new and familiar faces, with Eugene Cordero, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, and Tara Strong returning to their roles from Season 1, along with Jonathan Majors as Victor Timely, a variant of Kang the Conquer. Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, and Liz Carr are among the new cast members joining the show’s ensemble.

]]>The Color Purple has been described as “a bold new take on the beloved classic”, which chronicles the extraordinary sisterhood of three women who share one unbreakable bond, including the film’s central character Celie Harris, played by Barrino.
This isn’t the first time that Alice Walker’s seminal novel has been adapted for the big screen. Steven Spielberg’s version from 1985 starred Whoopi Goldberg and Oprah Winfrey and it received eleven nominations. Spielberg and Winfrey are coming back as producers of the new movie, along with Quincy Jones, who wrote the original score.
What sets the new adaptation apart is that it’s not a direct adaptation of the book, but a stage musical based on this beloved novel. It originally premiered on Broadway in 2005 and received eleven Tony nods, only to be revived again in 2015.
The Color Purple will hit the theaters on Christmas, and its supporting cast will include Halle Bailey, Elizabeth Marvel, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Danielle Brooks, H.E.R, Coleman Domingo, Corey Hawkins, Louis Gossett Jr., and David Alan Grier.
