Bo Burnham, Alison Brie, and Others Join “Promising Young Woman”

Now that’s what you call a stellar cast!

The Hollywood Reporter, confirms that Bo Burnham, Alison Brie, Connie Britton and Adam Brody have joined the cast of the Emerald Fennell-helmed thriller.

Other new cast members include Jennifer Coolidge, Laverne Cox, Max Greenfield, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Sam Richardson, and Molly Shannon.

The feature will mark Fennell’s directorial debut. She will direct from her own script. 

Carey Mulligan is set to lead the thriller, playing Cassie, “who everyone said was a promising young woman until a tragic event abruptly derailed her future. Now she’s a medical school drop-out, living at home with her worried parents and working at a coffee shop. It seems like she is at a standstill, except for the double life Cassie leads at night.”

Margot Robbie is attached to produce the project via her LuckyChap Entertainment banner, alongside Fennell with FilmNation’s Ben Browning.

Production began this week in Los Angeles.
