“It’s a very big possibility,” said Tarantino when asked whether he will take on the Star Trek movie. “I haven’t been dealing with those guys for a while ’cause I’ve been making my movie. But we’ve talked about a story and a script. The script has been written and when I emerge my head like Punxsutawney Phil, post- Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, we’ll pick up talking about it again.” 

Paramount recently encountered some issues with Star Trek franchise, as Star Trek 4, which would serve as a sequel to 2016’s Star Trek: Beyond, was delayed due to contracting disputes with stars Chris Pine and Chris Hemsworth. In a recent interview, Jared Leto was asked would he be willing to reprise his role as Joker and the actor ended up giving an optimistic response.

“I would definitely play the Joker again. It all depends on the script and the circumstances as it always does,” Leto said.

There were lots of rumors that Leto might appear as Joker in upcoming Harley Quinn spin-off Birds of Prey which is set for release in February 2020, but even if they are true, the actor himself isn’t about to confirm it.

“I don’t think so. You’d have to ask them. Well, we’ll see,” he said when asked about Birds of Prey.

While Jared Leto might not return as Joker anytime soon, we will still get a film based on this character in the near future. Todd Phillips-directed Joker standalone movie, starring Joaquin Phoenix in the titular role, is set for release on October 4^th, 2019. The series’ creator Sam Esmail recently spoke about season four at the Tribeca Film Festival and compared it to Christmas Specials that are usually seen in British TV shows.

“Typically how [British shows] wrap up series, like the British [version of The] Office, you tend to do a Christmas special. So the final season of Mr. Robot is one very long Christmas special that will last about a week over Christmas of 2015,” Esmail told the audience at Tribeca Talks.

When asked about the direction of Mr. Robot’s final season, Esmail said that he and the writers continued to let the current events and relevant things “inspire” them like in season one.

“Part of the reason people connected to the show is we wanted to talk about now,” he continued. “The show is still set in 2015 for this reason. The technology will always look dated, but we specifically said, this is about 2015, so it’s almost like a period piece for current day.”

Mr. Robot premiered in 2015 and focuses on a young cybersecurity engineer and hacker Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek) who joins a group of hacktivists called “fsociety” whose goal is to take down an evil and corrupted company. The show met with widespread critical acclaim and has won numerous awards including Golden Globe for Best Television Drama Series and Peabody Award. Besides Malek, the series also stars Carly Chaikin, Portia Doubleday, Christian Slater, and Martin Wallström among others.

Now, the streaming service giant announced that the documentary, titled Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese, will be available on their platform on June 12.

Besides being available on Netflix, the documentary will also get a limited release in theaters around the world starting June 11. According to Variety, 20 cities will host the projections for the film including London, Paris, Nashville, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Boston, Houston, Portland, Chicago, Los Angeles, Sydney, and New York.

Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese will be centered on Bob Dylan’s 1975 tour Rolling Thunder Revue which saw him taking a trip across the United States alongside his close friend Roger McGuinn, Joan Baez, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Bob Neuwirth and Allen Ginsberg. The tour has gained a cult status since and is considered to contain some of Dylan’s best live performances.

Netflix also shared synopsis and a poster for the documentary as well.

During his appearance at the premiere of Avengers: Endgame, Chris Pratt, who portrays Star-Lord in Marvel Cinematic Universe, was asked to comment Disney’s decision to rehire Gunn and said that he thinks this was “the right move” and that he was “proud” of the studio.

“I was so thrilled, so excited,” Pratt responded. “I think it’s the right move, I really stand behind it. I’m really proud of Disney for hiring James back and ultimately thrilled for not only us but also for the fans. I think it’s going to wrap up the trilogy in the best way.”

Disney decided to fire James Gunn, who directed the first two Guardians of the Galaxy movies, in July 2018 after decade-old tweets with offensive jokes written by the 52-year-old director surfaced online. Gunn’s firing didn’t sit well with Guardians of the Galaxy cast, who released a joint statement supporting him and the decision was also criticized by a significant number of industry’s members and media outlets.

The studio ended up having a change of hearts and rehired Gunn as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. director in March. The movie is still to enter production and could be expected in theaters at some point in 2021.

Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Gus Fring on the show, recently chatted with Collider and said that this popular AMC’s series might end with season six.

“It’s tricky with [co-creator Vince Gilligan]. If you look at the Breaking Bad model, he said five years, five seasons, but it was really five and six.” – Esposito told Collider before discussing the possible end for Better Call Saul.

“There will be six seasons,” – he explained. “It seems like that’s the way, the comfortable way, to end this show.”

Several media outlets approached AMC following Esposito’s statement but the network had no comments.

Although the news that Better Call Saul might end after the sixth season might be heartbreaking for the fans of the show, the fact is that we have still a long way to go. The show wrapped up the season four in October 2018, while the season five recently entered in production and is expected to air at some point in 2020.

This won’t be the only departure from successful Dick Wolf’s franchise, as the Chicago Med stars Colin Donnell and Norma Kuhling are ending their involvement on the show as well.

According to Deadline, Seda, Donnell, and Kuhling’s departures are due to “creative reasons” associated with “characters’ story evolution.”

Jon Seda was cast in a recurring role in Chicago Fire in 2012, which was the first installment in the franchise. He was then introduced as a main part of the cast of the show’s spinoff Chicago P.D. in 2014, before transitioning to Chicago Justice in 2017.

When Chicago Justice got canceled after one season, Seda returned to Chicago P.D as series regular once again. His character Antonio Dawson was also part of several crossover episodes between different Chicago shows.

Seda confirmed his departure from Chicago franchise via his social media by posting a photo of his character looking at the Chicago skyline.

“It’s been an honor portraying Det. Antonio Dawson in the #OneChicago world,” Seda wrote in the caption. “To my cast & crew #Family, I’ll always treasure the time and stories we shared. To all you #chihards out there, THANK YOU for being the best of fans! We’ll Always have CHICAGO.”
